How We Ensure Calibration

In the manufacturing process of calibrated plywood, we use hardwood with no core gaps. The timber is washed and dried, then moved into veneer veneer-making process. The veneers are cut using precise cutting tools into consistent dimensions. A layer of moisture-resistant adhesive is applied across both veneer surfaces. These veneers are bonded together with an alternate grain pattern to achieve high strength and stability. The pressing is done at high temperature and pressure.

To achieve calibration of plywood, i.e., to ensure the thickness and surface are uniform throughout the plywood, we employ a special process called four press technology. In this process, the veneers are pre-pressed under controlled pressure. It is then hot pressed for proper flattening at a controlled temperature. Then it is further pressed for optimal bonding. Finally, the plywood is pre-pressed under controlled pressure and then goes for sanding. The hot press here is hydraulic.

The sanding is carried out by a broad belt sanding machine to achieve a smooth, even surface and uniform thickness.
